Tabbed Dash Beta, Per User AI, Lots More AI, Ridiculously Performant Giant Vis, Pie Rebuild Almost Launch, and More

December 5, 2025

  • Dashboard tabs and containers are getting close to GA. For the cutting edge folks, we're open to turning this on (there may be bumps). But enormous amount of new dashboard functionality coming soon. Here we demo filters above and below tabs, the tab building experience, and more. Ask us if you want to get in early (it is all or nothing though, so fair warning).

  • Lots of AI

    • Now you can granularly control who has access to Blobby. This means everyone can start testing AI as conservatively as they want. Can't emphasize enough how transformative it has been for us internally. Go try it!

    • We're playing around with workflows to automate anything you can imagine in app with AI. Here we have Claude Code change the AI icon by navigating the core UI. Lots to do here, but would love to hear about use cases folks are imagining.

    • We extended AI link sharing to everyone in the system with permissions. User attributes, data permissions, etc are all respected here, but now for users with similar permissions AI links can be easily passed around (safely!!).

    • Blobby lives in Microsoft. Continuing the build out of Omni's multi-cloud offering, now AI is up and running.

    • We're tuning up the UX for deep research to give Blobby plenty of space to explore without burying the important outcomes.

    • Our huge rebuild of the vis render experience is close. We're waiting on a core Firefox bug we discovered building this, but the outcome is enormous (think 50k, 100k, 500k point visualizations) now render and resize smoothly.

  • We're getting close on our pie chart rebuild. Big wins with smart labeling and more features coming.

  • Getting close to the finale on merging stacked measures with color-by charts for config. Now simple totals are easy on stacked measure charts.

  • Level of detail fields are a huge unlock for comparing to overall populations or sub-populations and now you can also take advantage of filter escaping or inclusion dynamically (think compare a row to the top 10 without filters, etc).

  • We're continuing to make it easier to DIY debugging scheduler hiccups like query errors or delivery blockages.

  • Claude wanted to get in on the demos. Here's a bit of work to clean up clearing single-select filters.
